Is live music a necessity for you! It is for me!
If a stranger were to ask me to name my hobbies and interests, LIVE MUSIC would always make the list! TOP of my list actually! It’s just something I have to have!
When the world shut down in 2020, the desire to see and listen to live music was amplified-mostly because we couldn’t! For as long as I live, I will never take this for granted again! I feel so fortunate to live in a place where the choices of great venues seem endless!
Whether it be a show at Jones Beach, MetLife Stadium, UBS Arena, a casino in CT, or smaller venues like Fairfield, Port Chester or Huntington, you can pretty much entice me if it’s LIVE!
Like everyone, certain bands are a must see for me. Not sure how this happened, but Collective Soul is one that I will travel for! And I have! Pretty often, and pretty far! I am fascinated watching talented performers play their instruments. I can’t take my eyes off of them!
There’s also a handful of tribute shows that thrill me to no end. I love to suspend belief for a couple of hours, lose myself in those beloved songs as they pull me back to a special space and time in my life. I will admit, however, it took me a few years before I could bring myself to see the Michael Jackson tribute show in Vegas. I cried!!! It turned out to be absolutely AMAZING and, thankfully, I was ready for it.
P.S. I like DJ’s too! Tiesto (with Adrian Lux opening) in Vegas in 2012 was LIFE CHANGING! Does that seem weird? It’s not weird, it’s just the truth! (#truth!) Maybe it doesn’t matter if it’s LIVE music. Maybe I just like LOUD music! I mean…I definitely DO!!! (except Jane’s Addiction…haha) What about you?
