Sleeeeeeeeeep……please.
I’m writing this before trying, again, to lay my head on the pillow while National Grid (gas company) grinds away outside my bedroom window for the third night in a row.
The house shakes. Massive spotlights flood light into the street all night. A constant hum of machinery, endless backup beeping, workmen chatting, and then the early morning road scraping to clean everything up. All happening between the hours of 9PM and 6AM. You know—the exact hours one might expect to SLEEP!
It has definitely taken its toll—and if you know, you know. But rather than repeat a list of obvious reasons to get your 7, 8, 9,10 hours of shut-eye, let me highlight some less obvious benefits. Hopefully, they’ll inspire you to prioritize rest even more, and understand just how powerful good sleep can be.
